Alrighty guys! I’ve gathered up my favorite picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which is by far the biggest sale of the year. These items will go fast! You can shop them all if you have Early Access. Early Access is shoppable when you have a Norstrom card. This really is such a perfect time to scoop up your staple pieces for the fall season. Look one is the perfect athleisure approach to a leather moto jacket.  Layer on your leather jacket  over a grey sweater and white t-shirt for a cooler day.  Add comfy yoga pants and black sneakers and you are set for a day of errands.

Look two is one of my favorites.  Pair your leather moto jacket over a comfy black dress for an edgy feminine mix.  Add some studded sandals and practical tote bag for a day of running around with the kids or lunch with friends. 

Look three brought to you by the queen of effortless chic, Jen Aniston.  No one does it better! Top your cozy scarf over a leather jacket, add black jeans and tan riding boots for the chicest way to run around town.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access is here!  I've been scooping up great staple peices!  I'm always inspired by simple, timeless fashion.  I like to find a piece and work a look around that special piece to create multiple looks.  I've created this series to help you put together looks all from pieces on major sale right now at Nordstrom!  

I love a moto style jacket and find them so versatile.  Blush has quickly become  a neutral shade and can be paired well with light or darker tones.  The feminine color mixed with the edgier style of a moto jacket is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy.  I love these two takes on styling a blush pink moto jacket.  

Look one is a monochromatic grey look of grey skinny jeans and chunky grey sweater with a pop of softness in a tan bag and blush jacket.  Pair this look with an animal print flat for unexpected twist. 

Look two is using the feminine color of the jacket with a flirty floral dress like this , this, or this.  underneath.  The structure of the jacket will edge up this look just perfectly! Add a sweet blush pink block heel to finish off the look. This is a great look to take you into Spring as well.

It's that time of year! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is the by far the biggest sale of the year!  Thousands of staple pieces, sweaters, boots and coats are all on major mark down!  It's the perfect time to snag all the best Fall and Winter pieces for when the weather cools down.  I love winter dressing!  

All these picks are shopable with your Early Access to the sale.  In order to be able to shop early, you will need a Nordstrom Debit or Credit card.

I've taken a hard pause on blogging for a couple months.  I was finding myself getting sucked out of the moments of my life and only capturing "blog worthy" content.  It was becoming not as fun as it was before.  After some time away, I've refreshed my perspective on what I want this blog to be.  I want to capture our life as it comes.  I want to share our adventures organically even if that means not perfectly edited.  I hope to help other women find their joy, balance and inspiration in their own lives as I aim to find all of those things in mine!  With that said, I'm so excited to be back!  I can't wait to share what we have been up to and what we have on the horizon! 

If you have been following along on my Instagram you know that our life  has been swamped lately with the kitchen reno and wrapping up the school year. I am getting into the season of a crazy schedule of kid's activities and am loving it!  We have been doing ballet for about 4 years and now jazz since Fall.  We just this week added on swim team that will run through summer and I am contemplating competition team for Capri with her jazz studio this coming season.  

We have travel plans on the horizon including a trip with my mom to Waco!!  I have been a big fan of Fixer Upper for years now and can't to see the Silos, shop in Magnolia and taste some yummy treats in the bakery.  I hit up a couple of the weekend holiday sales to get some cute outfits together for our trip!  Around Father's day we are going to try and squeeze in a camping trip either to the mountains or the beach.  We love to play at Hotel Del Coronado over Fourth of July.  Then later in the summer, my mom, the girls and I take our annual girl's trips which will include our favorite repeat Omni La Costa and new this year is Disney's Grand Californian.  Am I a spoiled girl or what?!  I love to travel and creating these special memories with the girls.  So priceless!  I can't wait to fill our summer days with homemade ice-cream, swimming and beach days!

Fall plaid skirt

We just got home last night from our cruise and are adjusting to land legs again.  We had the best time!!! It's our annual Disney cruise that we make into a "girls trip" with my mom, myself and the kidlets.  We got to fly first class this year which was a real treat!  Hello, ice-cream sundae and champagne!!!  Not to mention, I sat across from Henry Cavill for the 5 hour flight!  Not sad at all! I'm sure he is seeking a restraining order at the moment!  We typically stay in Miami the night before embarking the ship so so we have plenty of time.  We boarded Wednesday and partied our booties off until Sunday! I will do a full recap post on it next week!  

We are back to rainy, cozy weather today at home which this mama is soaking up!  I plan on lighting every candle in the house, firing up the fire place for the first time since in the new house and padding around in my robe all day!  I may even destroy a couple online sales popping up before Black Friday and Cyber Monday!  Speaking of sales, this jacket is on major sale right now!  I'm so glad I snatched it up in early fall because I've been wearing it on repeat.  I styled it here with a cozy camel colored sweater, skinny jeans and my favorite leather booties.   I also used it to top off a clean navy blue blouse and white culottes here.  It's so versatile and the heavy collar gives it such a chic look. 

I paired the coat today with a  winter look over a wine colored v-neck sweater and festive plaid skirt.  Both the sweater and skirt are on sale now too!!  This look would be perfect for Thanksgiving dinner or brunch this Christmas season!
